If I live in Oklahoma and wanted to drive to a beach, camp out there, toss a football around , and try my hand at surfing, where would you tell me to go and why

Well texas would be the closest for you, like the galveston bay area but i dont think there is much surfing there and i heard some areas there arent that clean (but i’ve never been so i could be wrong)
florida and southern cali would probably be about the same distance, so in that case i would say cali, like huntington beach or san diego. ive been to both of those are there are tons of young people there tossing the ball around and surfing! and cali probably has better food than texas lol
I’ve lived in the same house in Cali my whole life with my dad and younger brother (I’m almost 16). Since 2004, we have done road trips every summer and I’ve been to every state. So driving from Oklahoma to southern California would be no big deal in my case, but I don’t know how far you are looking to drive. Texas would be closest in your case probably, near Houston, or you could drive down to Louisiana where the coast isn’t too screwed up from the hurricanes a few months ago. There’s also the coasts of Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida a little ways down from Louisiana.
